TONNAGE

Most trucks roll straight through.Only the exceptions get pulled aside.

TONNAGE checks the paperwork on every job. If the evidence stacks up, it goes through. If something looks off, an engineer takes a look.

We didn't know what a risk engineer was either.

We built TONNAGE in a weekend. Friday to Sunday, at a hackathon at QUT. None of us are risk engineers.

We came up with the idea on Friday night. On Saturday morning we walked outside and talked to truck operators parked outside U Block to validate it. We asked what it was like when a risk engineer comes out. Same answer every time: someone drives out, checks the tyres, checks the restraints, looks at some paperwork, and leaves. Most of them already had the photos and certificates. Nobody asked for them ahead of time.

So we spent the rest of the weekend building it. TONNAGE lets operators submit that evidence up front, flags anything that looks wrong, and only sends an engineer when there is real risk. The rest clears remotely.

How it works

From submission to engineer sign-off.

Step 01

Upload documents

Upload files to get information on the business.

A driver uploading transport documents and assessment records

How routing works

We sort audits automatically so engineers only travel when there is real risk.

Cleared on evidence

Perfect submission. Approved instantly.

Verified remotely

Minor issues. Request a photo or video upload instead of a visit.

Seen in person

Genuine risk. Send an inspector.

What makes us different

Others make the visit faster. We skip it when it is not needed.

We skip the drive

Most audits clear from the photos. No one has to drive out.

We catch cheating

We check the photos are real, so the evidence can be trusted.

A person decides

An engineer signs off on every result. The app never decides alone.

Who this is for

Right now we focus on trucks. But the same pattern fits anywhere a small team of experts has to travel to check evidence against a standard, so all of these are possible.

Engineer sign-off

Stop sending engineers to tick boxes

There aren't enough risk engineers. Stop wasting the ones you have.

Every operator gets a site visit

Engineers drive hours to confirm what a photo could prove.

With TONNAGE

Only real risk gets a visit

Evidence clears the straightforward cases remotely. Engineers only travel when something needs investigating.

Fewer windshield hours. More engineering hours.

Stop driving to things a photo can prove.

Upload evidence. TONNAGE flags risk and routes the result in minutes, not miles.
